Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West took plenty of flack after Kanye’s Valentine’s Day tribute to his wife featuring Kenny G playing sax in person surrounded by single roses in vases. Will Smith piled on in an Instagram post over the weekend, photoshopping himself, as the Fresh Prince, over Kenny G in the picture. He captioned the pic, “Ye – I’m available next year.”
MEANWHILE — Kenny G has weighed in about the experience. He said Kanye asked him to pull the stunt off for Kim, and the timing just happened to work out. Kenny says Kim didn’t know what to do with herself for about a minute after she walked into the room, and was totally surprised. Kenny also said Kanye couldn’t have been nicer.
Fans are less than pleased with Will Smith’s portrayal of the Genie in the live action remake of “Aladdin.” The trailer, which dropped during the Grammy’s, left fans feeling unimpressed and slightly terrified.
One fan tweeted, “It turns out that the Genie will haunt my nightmares. That Genie is what appears in my room when I have sleep paralysis.”
Disney just can’t win, back in December fans were mad that the Genie wasn’t going to be blue, now fans are mad because he is TOO blue. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
Jaden Smith—son of actor Will Smith—has doubled down on his statement that rapper Tyler the Creator is his boyfriend. Jaden first mentioned the relationship while on stage at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival earlier this month. Tyler, who was in the audience, laughed and waved his finger—as if saying “no”—to the shocking revelation. The 20-year-old reaffirmed that they are in fact in a relationship on the Music Beats 1 Radio show saying, “I recently said Tyler is my boyfriend and that’s true, so just so you know.” Tyler has yet to comment.
Sean Combs (aka Diddy) celebrated his 49th birthday over the weekend by skydiving. He landed on the grounds of the Playboy Mansion, whose affiliation with the birthday stunt is unclear. Will Smith recently rung in a birthday by bungee jumping out of a helicopter into the Grand Canyon — either way, a little late for a mid-life adventure crisis?
Will Smith has created a new social media challenge. The actor joined his son Jaden Smith on a Target run to celebrate his latest business venture; a new water brand, JUST Water. While at the store, Will noticed a father with his child on his shoulders and got jealous of the man being playful with his young kid. So Will hoisted Jaden up on his shoulders, prompting the #PiggyBackChallenge. An epic photo of Jaden on his dad’s shoulders has been shared on Instagram, delighting his many followers.
