J.C. Lee revealed that she and her dad, Stan Lee were in the process of creating a brand-new superhero before he died. The character, named Dirt Man, was something the father-daughter duo was working on right up until his last weekend. No specific details were spilled on the new character. J.C. would only say “it’s very interesting,” referring to his powers and origin.
Armie Hammer criticized the way some celebrities were memorializing Stan Lee. The co-creator of the Marvel Universe passed away on Monday at 95-years-old. Naturally, fans took to social media to pay homage to the comic book legend, while the 32-year-old actor took to Twitter to share his criticism. He wrote, “So touched by all of the celebrities posting pictures of themselves with Stan [Lee]…no better way to commemorate an absolute legend than putting up a picture of yourself.” Some fans tried to defend their posts, but Armie just wasn’t having it. He responded to one comment, writing, “If your answer is ‘post a selfie’ then I think we need a cultural revamp across the board.”
Stan Lee is dismissing rumors that his daughter has been exploiting his fortune. Lee has been in and out of court accusing business managers and handlers of exploiting his old age and siphoning off millions from what he’s earned creating the Marvel comics universe. Before his wife died last summer, she asserted their daughter was in cahoots with Lee’s handlers to mishandle his estate. But now Lee says everything is fine, he loves his daughter, and can only hope she loves him back.
