Johnny Depp Suing Ex-Wife

Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard in a $50 million defamation lawsuit. The suit states that the actor suffered financial losses following the piece Amber wrote on domestic abuse for The Washington Post. One of those losses: being dropped from his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films.

While Johnny was not specifically named in the article, it was clear that the actress was talking about him.

The two were married from 2015-2107.

Johnny Depp Settles Suit With Ex-Bodyguards

Johnny Depp has discreetly settled the claims brought against him by two of his former bodyguards. According to court documents, the actor “reached a conditional settlement which settles and resolves the entire matter as to each defendant and each plaintiff.”

While the details of the settlement were not disclosed, the document stated that the ex-bodyguards filed the lawsuit over unpaid wages, overtime, wrongful termination and unlawful business practices.

There has been no comment from Johnny or his attorney on the matter.

Is Depp Innocent?

Johnny Depp is asserting the accusations of domestic abuse leveled by ex-wife Amber Heard are unfounded — and he’s thanked authjor JK Rowling for standing by him in the media. When accusations surfaced that Depp had gotten violent with Heard, there were calls to kick him out of the “Fantastic Beasts” movie series, but Rowling stood by him. Depp says it’s because she knows he had been “falsely accused” and that he feels bad she was thrust into the middle of the controversy.
