Two of the most followed people on Instagram lost thousands of followers Tuesday night. Ariana Grande, who had over 145 million, dropped to 142 million. Kylie Jenner, who had 127 million went down to 124 million. Insta tweeted that they were aware of the hiccup, but never clarified what happened.
Fans are convinced Ariana Grande’s Grammy gown was a tribute to rapper Mac Miller. While Ariana decided to boycott the award show after beefing with producers, she didn’t want the gown she had planned to wear going to waste. So, in the most Ariana way, she posted photos of herself in the Cinderella like gown during Sunday night’s show.
Here’s where the connection was made by fans: Mac wrote a song about the high-pony tailed singer when they were dating. That song, was titled “Cinderella.” It really is not that big of a stretch to connect the dots.
MEANWHILE—Mac, who passed away last year, was honored during the show’s “In Memoriam” segment. He was up for Best Rap Album, but lost to Cardi B.
Ariana Grande gives her ex’s new relationship a big thumbs up. Pete Davidson is rumored to be romantically linked with actress Kate Beckinsale, who is 20 years his senior, and Ariana says they are “so cute!”
MEANWHILE—Ariana has remained mum about her decision to bail on the Grammys. Rumors are the boycott comes from the show’s producers not letting her perform her hit song “7 Rings.”
Ariana Grande got a tattoo earlier in the week that was supposed to read “7 Rings” but actually meant “barbecue grill.” The internet mocked her and she owned up to it, then posted a picture of a fixed tat — except it wasn’t. Because some characters were off in the fix, it now reads “barbecue grill finger.” Maybe she’s better off taking a break on ink.
Painter Vladimir Kush is suing Ariana Grande. He says a scene in her music video for “God Is A Woman” rips off one of his paintings. In the scene, Ariana dances inside the flame of a giant candle, set in front of a cloudy sky, which looks just like Vlad’s work. The resemblence is pretty close, to be fair.
The suit specifically is for copyright infringement. He also wants it scrubbed from the Internet; good luck with that.
Ariana Grande is apparently a fan of bbqs. The singer recently got a new tattoo in honor of her hit song “7 Rings,” but fans noticed the Japanese symbols actually spelled out “shichirin” aka a small charcoal grill. Ariana was already privy to the fact and explained that the tattoo hurt so bad that she intentionally left symbols out to avoid any more pain.
Ariana Grande has issued an apology to anyone she offended with her latest single “7 Rings.” The singer, who was originally accused by Princess Nokia of stealing the song, is apologizing for a separate controversy that involves the lyrics. Some fans think the line that says “You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it…” is not racially appropriate.
One of the 25-year-old’s Instagram followers reached out (in a since deleted post), sarcastically saying that “white women talking about their weaves is how we’re gonna solve racism.”
Despite the scandal, the song broke Spotify’s record for most streams within the first 24 hours with 15 million streams.
Pete Davidson called out his ex, Ariana Grande, during a stand-up set at Tarrytown Music Hall in New York. The comedian—referring to Ariana’s “Thank U, Next” music video—said “I don’t like that she talked all that s**t about my penis. Why would she tell everyone that I have a huge penis? So that every girl who sees my dick for the rest of my life can be disappointed?”
Pete Davidson is still struggling. The “SNL” comedian reportedly feels like the world is against him. Sources close to Pete told TMZ that while he has reached out to people in his life, he tends to lash out with claims that they are ignoring him and what he is going through. The source also shared that they are concerned about his feelings of wanting to end his life.
His ex-fiancée, Ariana Grande, reached out to help the struggling 25-year-old, but he refused to see her.
Call it the Twitterstorm of the Century: Kanye West and rapper Drake have been publicly and privately trading barbs about each other’s talents and capabilities for some time. Kanye didn’t like a line on one of Drake’s tracks that made fun of Kanye’s shoe line.
On Thursday, Kanye tweeted that Drake wanted clearance to sample some of Kanye’s music on his own track — and rolled into a series of Tweets going after Drake.
One of Kanye’s tweets to Drake accused him of not taking mental illness seriously: “You are disrespectful to all people with mental health conditions so this is an opportunity for growth.”
Amid the back and forth, Ariana Grande mocked the spat, cracking at “grown men arguing online” — and that people should focus instead on her new music coming out.
That’s when Pete Davidson chimed in on an Instagram note supporting Kanye: “Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this.”
A few minutes later Davidson wrote a note that said in part “I really don’t want to be on this Earth anymore.”
Grande quickly apologized: “man i’m so sorry i told a dumb joke. i really didn’t mean any harm. all i want everyone to be healthy and happy. so desperately. please. my god.”
Then, apparently in a tweet targeted at Davidson, she said “I’m downstairs and I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything. I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but i’m here too.”
It was reported that Davidson was at work at SNL and was doing okay. He’s since deleted his Instagram.
And Drake, apparently, has increased security at his house, according to People magazine.
Kim Kardashian-West is ready for the drama with Kanye West to be done. A source close to the situation revealed to People Magazine that while the 38-year-old defended her husband amidst his feud with Drake and Ariana Grande, she just wants to put the controversy behind them.
In the end, Kim will always stand by her man, but feels that he needs to take a break from Twitter…again.
To celebrate the end of an emotionally challenging year, Ariana Grande got a friendship tattoo with an unlikely family member. The “thank u, next” singer and her 93-year-old grandmother hit up Brooklyn tattoo artist Mira Mariah for some ink.
The 25-year-old got a celestial tattoo on the top of her left hand, totally sending off “God is Woman” vibes.
Not to be left out, the 93-year-old opted for her late husband’s nickname “Ciccio” on the inside of her ring finger.
Post tattoo, Ariana’s grandma said, “I feel fine…I’ve had a little bit more excitement than this.”
According to Us Weekly the SNL comedian has blocked his ex on his social media and is “trying to distance himself from her narrative for his health.”
The 25-year-old’s decision to block Ariana has been confirmed by her, after she retweeted a DM she wrote to a fan saying, “I have never encouraged anything but forgiveness. I care deeply about Pete and his health and would never encourage any kind of mistreatment. I haven’t seen any of it because I’m blocked. I care about him deeply.”
Pete Davidson is tired of all the social media trolls. He took to Instagram to leave a lengthy (for Instagram) statement about being bullied ever since his relationship with Ariana Grande got serious, and subsequently ended. Davidson said he’s been open about his struggles with depression and suicide, yet people still exploit that. “No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t,” he wrote.
Ariana Grande is slowing erasing Pete Davidson from her life. The singer, who earlier this year got the number “8418” tattooed on her foot—the badge number of Pete’s fire fighter father who died on 9/11— recently covered it up with “Myron.”
Myron is the name of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller’s dog, who she adopted following the rapper’s death.
Ariana also covered up “Pete,” which she had tattooed on her ring finger, with a black heart.
Interestingly, her ex fiancé Pete covered up his Ariana neck tattoo with a black heart as well
The teaser for the video parodies the high school comedy, with somewhat-famous actors fudging the original lines from the movie to be about Ariana.
“Ariana Grande broke off an engagement, so I found a guy to propose to me and I broke off an engagement,” one character says.
Ariana was mum on when the full video will be released.
MEANWHILE — original Mean Girl Lindsay Lohan approves of the treatment. She took to Instagram to say “‘So flattered by @arianagrande loving #MeanGirls so much!'”
Pete Davidson apologized to Dan Crenshaw, when the war veteran appeared on this weekend’s episode of “SNL.” The Republican politician, who was the subject of one of Pete’s controversial jokes on last week’s show, accepted the apology while simultaneously giving the comedian a taste of his own medicine. Dan’s phone rang during the segment and his ringtone was set to one of Ariana Grande’s songs. Pete, whose engagement to the singer recently ended, smirked and admitted it was “funny” and well-deserved.
Ariana Grande was spotted leaving a West Hollywood recording studio on Friday night, getting into a Range Rover with some friends. The 25-year-old was seen sipping on a drink in a red cup, looking relaxed and happy. After a year of drama and heartbreak, the singer finally has something to be thankful for, as her new single “Thank U, Next” hit #1 on both the global and U.S. Spotify charts. Ariana is the only female singer to accomplish that feat this year.
Ariana Grande released a new track just 30 minutes before Saturday night’s SNL broadcast, getting ahead of anything ex-fiance Pete Davidson might say about their relationship. The song is called “Thank u, Next” and is an ode to her ex-boyfriends; it’s not explicitly a diss-track, either. But it is clearly her way of telling the world she’s ready to move on.
MEANWHILE – Insiders say SNL nixed a sketch making fun of Davidson’s proclivity for jumping into relationships. He and Grande had a verbal agreement to not talk about their split publicly, and she got mad when heard his self-depricating humor during standup sets and in an SNL promo. But Davidson did address their splitup on the show, calling Ariana a “wonderful, strong” person.
Ariana Grande is erasing ex-fiance Pete Davidson from memory, covering up a tattoo she got celebrating their engagement. The small tat on her hand read “REBORN” — but in an Instagram post it was covered up with an olive branch. Rumor is the couple got 11 tattoos between the two of them during their relationship.
Friends and family of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are feeling “relief” about the couple’s recent break-up. Sources told People that “everyone around the couple is fairly relieved that the whirlwind relationship is over.” The couple, who got engaged after only a month of dating, had both just gotten out of serious relationships; hers with rapper Mac Miller and his with actress Cazzie David. Ariana’s family felt that she “threw herself into the relationship” but was at least “mature enough to realize [it] wasn’t the right relationship or the right time to get married.” Since the split, Pete has moved out of their apartment and joked about how he is looking for a roommate.
It’s safe to say, Ariana Grande cannot wait for 2018 to be over. From the death of her ex, Mac Miller to her recent called off engagement to Pete Davidson, the singer has had one heartbreak after another. Now the 25-year-old is dealing with internet trolls making fun of her appearance. Ariana, who only recently returned to social media, posted a selfie and followers went nuts commenting on the size of her forehead. She clapped back at the haters, sarcastically apologizing for the size of her forehead and then telling them all to go suck one. Here’s to 2019 girl!
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson were never really going to get married. According to TMZ, the couple never discussed or looked into planning their wedding. They got engaged in June and the entire summer came and went without so much as looking at a venue, a wedding dress or discussing a potential date. The only official signs of the couple’s intentions were the $100,000 engagement ring, which has been returned to Davidson and the pet pig they bought together, who is apparently staying with Grande.
Ariana Grande is living her best life — she was spotted in New York doing some retail therapy while she gets over her breakup with Pete Davidson. She was touting Chanel bags in each hand. Friends say she’s been spending time with family while she recovers.
MEANWHILE — Pete’s been seen in public, performing in LA. He joked about the rush engagement being stupid and asked the crowd if anyone’s looking for a roommate … at least he’s finding levity in the situation.
Ariana Grande has surfaced on social media. The singer posted to her Instagram on Tuesday night stating how grateful she was to be a part of the taping of A Very Wicked Halloween—her first public appearance since her split with Pete Davidson. She also alluded to the split saying: “time to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit. It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that im not tryna to see [right now]. It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep goin. Love u. and thank u for bein here always.” The post has since been deleted from her page.
While filming the special, eagle-eyed spectators noticed she had a small bandage to cover up her “PETE” tattoo on her finger. But Davidson was also spotted looking glum in a hoodie outside his MOM’s house … and his Ariana tattoo was still quite visible.
