Penny Marshall has died. The actress who played Laverne, a Milwaukee brewery worker, on the hit sitcom “Laverne & Shirley,” passed away peacefully on Monday night in her Hollywood Hills home. A spokeswoman for Penny’s family said the actress’ cause of death was due to complications from diabetes.
She was 75.
Gretchen Rossi is expecting! The “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum is pregnant with her first child with Slade Smiley.
This will be Gretchen’s first child. Slade has two children from previous relationships.
William Hathaway known to fans as Willbilly, passed away over the weekend. According to authorities the “Wicked Tuna” cast member died after being involved in a fatal car accident.

Colin Kroll has died. The CEO and founder of HQ Trivia has passed away of an apparent drug overdose. Law enforcement was called early Sunday to do a welfare check on the 35-year-old, when his girlfriend couldn’t get ahold of him.
Officers found Colin in his bedroom with drug paraphernalia nearby; cops believe the drugs were cocaine and heroin.
Colin became CEO of HQ Trivia in 2015 after being fired from Twitter. Before that he was Chief Technology Officer of Jetsetter and prior to that he served as the Engineering Manager at Yahoo.
Remy Ma is a mama! The rapper, along with her husband Papoose, announced the birth of their first child via Instagram on Friday. The couple, who wed in 2016, welcomed a baby girl.

Dolly Parton’s brother has died.
Floyd Estel Parton passed away on Thursday December 6 at the age of 61. No cause of death was revealed.
He is remembered as an “avid outdoorsman” and “an incredible cook.” Floyd shared in his family’s love of music and even wrote the song “Rockin’ Years” which was recorded by his sister, Dolly.
Former Spice Girl Mel B is laid up in the hospital for broken ribs and a severed right hand, but no one is sure why. The former pop star posted a pic to Instagram of her arm in a giant sling and a bit about what she was in the hospital for, but without giving an explanation why. One friend tells TMZ Mel was staying with friends and took a tumble down the stairs.

Former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Jael Strauss has lost her battle with cancer. Jael announced this past October that she had been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She passed away in hospice on Tuesday, just 2 months after being diagnosed. She was 34 years old.

ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive nervous system (neurological) disease that destroys nerve cells and causes disability.
Vernita Lee has died — that’s Oprah’s mom. She was 83, and passed on Thanksgiving Day. The family confirmed the death today.
Oprah had a complicated relationship with Lee, who she first met when she was six years old, only to be put up for adoption shortly after. The family lived at the time in Milwaukee.
In 1990, The Great Woman absolved her birth-mother on her TV show, and rumor has it she paid for her condo in Milwaukee.
The family is asking that any memorial donations be made to the charity Feeding America.
