Liberal Hatchet Group Mysteriously Ousts Co-Founder

The left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center has fired its co-founder, Morris Dees. SPLC President Richard Cohen said the firing was effective immediately on Wednesday, not saying much but indicating the group was bringing in consultants to assess their “internal climate and workplace practices.” The SPLC used to stand mainly for civil rights, famously suing the Klan in the 80s, but these days it’s best known for maintaining an ideological “hate group” list that puts conservatives like Ben Carson alongside the KKK.
