Missed FG Ends Bears’ Season

The Chicago Bears, the NFC North Champion and number three seed in the NFL Playoffs lost their first home playoff game since the 2010 season to the World Champion Philadelphia Eagles 16-15.

The Nick Foles magic continued as the Eagles took the lead with less than a minute remaining on a touchdown pass to Golden Tate on 4th and goal from the one-yard line putting the visitors ahead to stay.

The ensuing kickoff was returned by the Bears’ Tarik Cohen to the Chicago 43 yard line and Mitchell Trubisky, who went 26-43 for 303 yards and one touchdown drove the Bears down to the Philadelphia 26 yard line where kicker Cody Parkey, who has had problem at Soldier Field, especially with uprights, hit the left upright to end the Bears’ 2018 season.

The Eagles advance to the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs when they visit the Saints in New Orleans next Sunday
