Former Dallas Cowboys wideout Dez Bryant worked out for the New Orleans Saints who are looking for a veteran receiver to take them through the rest of the regular season and playoffs.
While the Saints liked what they saw from Bryant sources are cautious as he has come close to signing with teams in the past since he was released by the Cowboys in April. However, signs point to Bryant signing with the Saints as negotiations are ongoing.
Bryant was among three receivers brought into camp for workouts this week. The Saints need to replace Ted Ginn, Jr who was placed on injured reserve in October.
In his prime Bryant was one of the league’s top play makers and while no longer in his prime the Saints hope that teaming with Drew Brees can help him tap into some of his former dominance.
