Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and fiancee Lauren Pesce want their wedding guests to spare no expense on gifts. They’ve registered for a $500 blender, a $180 noodle maker, and $375 knife set. They’re getting hitched before he starts an 8-month jail sentence for violating tax law.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has been sentenced to 8 months in prison. Sorrentino and his brother, Marc Sorrentino, were initially indicted in September 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States. In April 2017, charges of tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records were added to the indictment.
The Jersey Shore star appeared in court alongside fiancé Lauren Pesce on Friday, where he received the judge’s ruling. Some of his Jersey Shore co-stars attended the hearing for moral support, as well. The 36-year-old has 30 to 60 days to surrender. His plan during that time is to marry his college sweetheart. The nuptials will be aired on MTV.
