Houston Advances to the ALCS

The
defending World Series Champs, the Houston Astros completed a 3-game sweep of
the Cleveland Indians with an 11-3 win at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Cleveland
coming off their 3rd straight American League Central title were no
match for the Astros having only scored 5 runs on 10 hits for the entire series
and a cumulative batting average of .144 (13-for-90).

Houston’s
pitching particularly the bullpen was dominant having held Cleveland to just
one run in 9 and 2/3 innings.

The series
was a breeze for Houston who now have 3 days rest before starting the ALCS on
Saturday against the winner of the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees series.
